Pinterest and a Pink Truck

Isn't this whole Pinterest thing FUN?!!! It feels so good to look at a bunch of inspiring photos. Even taking a few moments or hours, to 'pin' beautiful places, inspiring quotes, yummy new recipes to try, projects to indulge in, even talents to be developed, increases happiness! Like sitting with your friends on a beach or in the back yard sipping lemonade, while reading your favorite magazines..SO FUN!

The list goes on doesn't it? I find myself dressing for the day in an outfit found in presentation collage that I feel represent me and my personality. I have a board called 'western', and another board called 'girl next door'. I LOVE the clothes and accessory combinations, they are so fun!

My blog name says 'The girl in a pink truck'. I chose that blog name, because I've decided the next vehicle I buy will be a truck, and I've decided to paint it PINK! It describes me. . . I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, I garden, I love being in nature, camping, feminine things, stars, skinny dipping, dreaming and star gazing, I haul stuff all the time because I'm a designer, and jeans & t-shirt are my favorite things to wear!

It just seems to be the perfect fit. I love being a woman, learning new things, and having a goal to go after. So when using the laws of attraction, here I come sweet PINK truck!

Girl's Night Out

Thursday might be the greatest night of the week! Almost every Thursday for the past 10 years I go play with friends. It's a non-optional night to regroup from stress, long work days, cleaning house, parenting, and even being a wife.

I say non-optional because self care is EXTREMELY important!! I find it disconcerting when people don't realize how important it is to take care of yourself. You know you can't do all the things you choose to do or should do or have to do, if you don't replenish yourself daily. We all know people, loved-ones or not, who seem like they could collapse at any moment. It's because they do to many shoulds and have-to's, with out the "FUNS".
